School Story:
One that keeps popping up was an everyday adventure at lunch. Myself and several others too many to name, used to sneak off campus at lunch and go to the ICE HOUSE, not the resturant the original ice house where Hardees is now. I think the original name for it was The Sportsman Center, but it was ice house for nearly everybody. Anyway we would go up there and you had to be careful and not let a teacher see you up there, cause it was real popular with a lot of teachers as well as students, especially Coach Welch. We always had somebody looking out for us at the door watching for any of them to drive up. I don't know how many times we would be going out the back door as a teacher or coach would be coming thru the front. One day Coach Welch trapped us, he knew we had been going up there, so as Coach Campbell or Coach Robinson came in the front he came in the back. BUSTED! Couple days of D-Hall
Life Since High School:
After school went to Ouchita VO-Tech took a machinist course, after that worked at Camden Wire CO and Trefil-Arbed in Pine Bluff in the early nineties.
Got married in June of 94 to Kay Manning, daughter Ashlyn was born Halloween of 96.
Spent a couple years installing telephone lines for Southwestern Bell all over central Ar, seen some of you while doing that, John Williams, Harry Crane. Went to work for Center Grove Water in Sept 99, then in November while deer hunting, had a stand fall with me in it. After a broke back and dislocated shoulder I spent 6-8 months recovering from that adventure.
Went back to work finally ,then in may of 2000 went to work for the AHTD "highway department." Don't blame me for "all' the pot holes ha ha, been there ever since.
My son Austin was born in August 04. I live here in Sheridan with my family, my wife works at Shippers here in Sheridan, I go to most of the yellow jacket football games, love to deer hunt, read, ride 4-wheelers, and watch my kids grow.
